Our advisory board consists of around 20 people that contribute their skills, experience and expertise to Free UK Genealogy to advise and help progress our organisation. The board includes people that are volunteers on our projects or have experience in:
- Academic research using public records of family history
- Charity Accounting
- Charity Law
- Law relating to Intellectual Property, Data Protection, and related areas
- Open Data
- Volunteer Management
- Web Design
- Museums and Heritage
- Online Transcription
Membership of the advisory board is entirely voluntary so requires people with a firm commitment to seeing Free UK Genealogy continue to succeed.
Contribution is in the form of membership of an email list, with quarterly video meetings/conference calls and the option of one face to face meeting per year.
